ktvu's jade hernandez live in oakland where that young boy is being treated tonight and she has new information on just where this gunfire came from. >> reporter: hartsfield-jacksoni cs threw that 7-year-old boy to the hospital earlier this evening. we have whopper video of the helicopter arriving as children as hospital. hospital antioch police a the little boy is going to be all right. police are concerned how the shooter wound this boy. investigator say someone fired multiple gunshots into this home around 4:30 this afternoon during a family bbq. the 7-year-old was visiting with his family from out of town. no one else was hurt. investigators say the shooter fired the rounds from an area near the g street over crossing which can be seen from the backyard area. police have not made any arrest, but since thursday, oakland, richmond and now antioch have shyoung children rushed to children's hospital with gunshot wound. for now, antioch police are investigating this particular incident, but the good news is that little boy is going to be all right. >>> a tearful scene in sonar's miss

on a house in the oakland hills. it happened around 3:30 this morning on oakwood drive, the tree estimated to be 75 foot tall crashed down on the corner of the roof. the downed tree also brought traffic on oakwood drive to a stop. firefighters say they do not know what caused that tree to fall. >>> an investigation is underway into a crash involving a scooter and a santa clara county sheriffs patrol car. the accident happened before 12:30 this morning in the area of west heading street and the alameda. investigators are trying to determine if one of the drivers may have run a red light. two people on the it scooter were taken to the hospital but their injuries are not believed to be serious. the deputy in the patrol car was not hurt. the vehicle sustained damage to the right front bumper. a couple of san francisco police cars will be out of action after an unusual crash. officers were investigating an argument on the 4000 block of mission street. police say pickup truck sideswiped a patrol car, sending it into a second police car. witnesses say officers had to scramble to avoid getting hit

they lost in a military base shooting in virginia. a delta plane carrying the casket land at oakland international airport yesterday afternoon. they escorted the body to the home in the oaklandly area. 19-year-old was one two of marines killed by an instructor in virginia. the gunman is from pacifica. >>> a navy seal killed in a training accident thursday was a member of the elite unit that killed osama bin laden two years ago. he died after colliding with another navy seal in midair. the other sailor survived and is in the hospital. they say the sailor that died was a member of seal team 6 but not clear if he took part in the raid that killed bin laden. >> ten dogs were saved from a house fire in concord. firefighters were called to a home on a hillsborough drive about 6:30 p.m. they found a bunch of smoke and several bulldogs. the flames from a pot on kitchen stove. nobody was hurt and the dogs are fine. >> we're learning more this morning about how a college student lied about being rape suffered real injuries. she claimed she was raped last month on the u.c. santa cruz campus. sh

saw a case like that in oakland where they were finding guns that were actually coming from rural georgia come to find out there was a person who was going through this straw purchasing, sending the guns to oakland in the rural area and those were being sold and distributed to gang members. by the way, we have bipartisan support in the house for this bill over 100 co-sponsors. it says when you, a straw purchaser goes out there and does that, they're no longer going to be limited to a fine, almost like a, you know, you get -- you're speeding at 65 in a 55-mile zone. no more of that. the penalty is going to be increased substantially. and right now, there is no federal law dedicated to gun trafficking. that is that when that straw purchaser buys that gun and then turns it over to either somebody who they know should not have a gun or forbidden for having a gun or cartels in mexico or what have you, now there will be a law against not only the strawberry purchaser but the person who is receiving the gun and any kingpins that might be involved in that. again, this is something law enf
